Vengeance works differently in World of Warcraft: Forever than it does in Classic Era.

Vengeance ranks in Forever

  1. Rank 1 Increases your Physical and Holy damage dealt by 1% for 30 sec after landing a critical strike. Stacks up to 5 times.
  2. Rank 2 Increases your Physical and Holy damage dealt by 2% for 30 sec after landing a critical strike. Stacks up to 5 times.
  3. Rank 3 Increases your Physical and Holy damage dealt by 3% for 30 sec after landing a critical strike. Stacks up to 5 times.

What Vengeance does in Classic Era

Forever changed this talent. The Classic Era wording is kept here rank for rank so the two can be read side by side. It has 5 ranks in Classic Era rather than 3.

  1. Rank 1 Gives you a 3% bonus to Physical and Holy damage you deal for 8 sec after dealing a critical strike from a weapon swing, spell, or ability.
  2. Rank 2 Gives you a 6% bonus to Physical and Holy damage you deal for 8 sec after dealing a critical strike from a weapon swing, spell, or ability.
  3. Rank 3 Gives you a 9% bonus to Physical and Holy damage you deal for 8 sec after dealing a critical strike from a weapon swing, spell, or ability.

Vengeance is a Retribution talent for Paladin. You need 20 points in Retribution before the row it sits on opens. It also requires Sanctified Judgement first. Taking it opens Champion of the Light.
