What Initiative does in Classic Era

Forever changed this talent. The Classic Era wording is kept here rank for rank so the two can be read side by side.

  2. Rank 2 Gives you a 50% chance to add an additional combo point to your target when using your Ambush, Garrote, or Cheap Shot ability.
  3. Rank 3 Gives you a 75% chance to add an additional combo point to your target when using your Ambush, Garrote, or Cheap Shot ability.

Where this came from

Changed in Forever.

  • BlizzCon 2026 show-floor footage
  • Rank 1 from existing Forever footage overlay; later ranks were Classic leftovers and were scaled from rank 1 (linear, same method as Savage Strikes)
