Precision

Rogue · Combat · opens at 5 points spent · 3 ranks

Precision works differently in World of Warcraft: Forever than it does in Classic Era.

Precision ranks in Forever

  1. Rank 1 Increases your chance to hit with all attacks and Poisons by 1%.
  2. Rank 2 Increases your chance to hit with all attacks and Poisons by 2%.
  3. Rank 3 Increases your chance to hit with all attacks and Poisons by 3%.

Rank 1 from footage. Ranks 2+ were still Classic text; rewritten from rank 1 with linear scaling. Rank 2+ values not yet seen on camera.

What Precision does in Classic Era

Forever changed this talent. The Classic Era wording is kept here rank for rank so the two can be read side by side. It has 5 ranks in Classic Era rather than 3.

  1. Rank 1 Increases your chance to hit with melee weapons by 1%.
  2. Rank 2 Increases your chance to hit with melee weapons by 2%.
  3. Rank 3 Increases your chance to hit with melee weapons by 3%.

Where this came from

Changed in Forever.

  • BlizzCon 2026 show-floor footage
  • Rank 1 from existing Forever footage overlay; later ranks were Classic leftovers and were scaled from rank 1 (linear, same method as Savage Strikes)
